More than two years ago, Boko Haram gunmen kidnapped 276 girls from their school in Chibok, Nigeria. This week, after a long and harrowing experience, some of the girls have finally been released. Most remain in captivity.

Here is a video message about the Chibok girls from Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA), a frontline advocacy organization in Nigeria that has been working since 1999 to protect and promote the rights of women and girls in Nigeria.

We strongly believe that the best way to help the Chibok girls and all other girls in Nigeria is to support women’s rights organizations like WRAPA. They are courageous in their advocacy and they need our help to sustain and build their work for the rights of all girls and women in Nigeria.

While we all wait with renewed hope for the rescue of the remaining Chibok girls who have been abducted, you can make a real difference in Nigeria by supporting WRAPA. Girls in Nigeria should be able to go to school safely without fear of abduction by terrorists. You can help make Nigeria safer for all girls.
