May 26, 2021 | Donor Direct Action

With the explosion of COVID-19 in India spreading across the border to Nepal, the Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) is struggling to protect girls and women from sexual violence, which has become much more challenging in the current lockdown. Sabin Shrestha, Executive Director of FWLD - Donor Direct Action's partner in Nepal - talks in this zoom call about the ongoing case of an 11 year-old girl who was raped by the landlord, who is now out on bail and back in the neighborhood where he continues to taunt her family even though they have moved.

Please take 3 minutes to watch this video and hear directly from Sabin Shrestha on the COVID-sexual violence crisis in Nepal.
